Obituary for Fletcher Partridge

Mr. Fletcher Whiton Partridge, age 83, of Melody Lane, Hartwell, Ga., entered into eternal rest peacefully on Monday, December 12, 2016 at St. Mary's Hospital, Athens.

Born September 8, 1933 in Jamaica Plains, Massachusetts, he was the son of the late Fletcher Whiton Partridge, Sr., and Ida McKenzie Partridge. He was a patriotic U.S. Army Veteran serving as a Lieutenant at Fort Gordon, GA, and worked for DuPont as a manager in the textiles fibers and logistics industry. He was a faithful deacon and elder at Evangelical Presbyterian Church in Newark, DE and most recently a faithful member at Sardis Baptist Church in Hartwell, GA.

He is survived by his wife, Carole Little Partridge of the home, children, Holly P. Hill (John), Rock Hill, SC, Rebecca Jill Beatty (William), Egg Harbor Township, NJ, Melissa P. Porter (Lt. Col. Timothy), Elizabethtown, KY, Fletcher W. Partridge III (Denise), Newark, DE. Grandchildren, Emma Worley, Jefferson Hill, Scott Clarke, Katherine Clarke, Sarah Olivia Clarke, Alyssa Clemons, Hannah Grace Partridge, Mary Adams, Michaela Adams, Aaron Adams, Augustus Adams, Fletcher W. Partridge IV, Ian Partridge, and Abigail Partridge.

Services celebrating Fletcher's life were held on Saturday, December 17, 2016 at One O’clock p.m. from the Sanctuary of Sardis Baptist Church. Pastor John Silver will officiate. The family will receive friends one hour prior to the service at the church.
