Mrs. Eva Jeannette Darty, age 81, of Hartwell, Georgia, peacefully passed away on Friday, August 21, 2026.

Born September 10,1944, in Cleveland, North Carolina, Jeannette was the daughter of the late Parker Martin and Lucille (Rucker) Martin. She was a graduate of Hart County Training School and spent much of her working life with Hartwell Manufacturing, where she was employed as a plant worker for approximately 30 years.

Jeannette was a member of Mt. Zion Baptist Church. Above all, she treasured time spent with her family and friends. Her family was the center of her life, and the memories created through the years will remain a lasting part of her legacy. She also held a special place in her heart for her beloved fur baby, Midnight.

In addition to her parents, Jeannette was preceded in death by her husband, Larry C. Darty; and her brother, Gilbert Martin. Grandson Steven L. Goss. Nephews; Earnest Norris and Fredrick Martin. Son of Love Deminue Roebuck.

She leaves to cherish her memory her five children, Nanette (Jacques) Watson of Elberton, GA, Aaron Heard of Hartwell, GA, Shannon Waller of Hartwell, GA, Hekima O. Heard of Salisbury, NC, and Chandra (Arndre) Darty-DeVoe of Greenville, SC; one sister, Bernice Norris of Mooresville, NC; 16 grandchildren; five great-grandchildren; and a host of nieces, nephews, extended family members, and dear friends.

Mrs. Darty will lie in state on Friday, August 28, 2026, from 9:00 a.m. until 4:00 p.m. at Coile and Hall Funeral Directors for those wishing to pay their respects.

Funeral services honoring Jeannette's life will be held on Saturday, August 29, 2026, at 11:00 a.m. in the Chapel of Coile and Hall Funeral Directors, 333 E. Johnson Street, Hartwell, GA.

The family is receiving loved ones and friends at the home of Shannon Waller, 272 Sterling Drive, Hartwell, GA 30643.
