Ellis “Ray” Brown, Jr. of Covington, passed away on Thursday, June 22, 2023 at the age of 61.

He was born in Brunswick, GA to the late Ellis Ray Sr. and Lona (Rooks) Brown. In addition to his parents, he is preceded in death by his nephew Logan Brown.

Ray was an independent, free-spirited person, who love his Lord and Savior. He loved music, riding horses, camping and just being outdoors. He enjoyed helping others and being a friend. Ray is survived by his daughter Taylor Brown Clegg (Daniel), sister Sandra Ivey (Ron Carter), brother Pete Brown (Sandra), nieces Lesley (Darren), Katelyn (Lukas), Ashleigh, Haley (Tyler), and nephew Chandler.

Cryptside Services will be held Wednesday, June 28, 2023, at 2 pm at the Brown Family Mausoleum located at 837 Sunnybrook Lane, Hartwell, GA 30643.
