Obituary for Ellen Risner (Holcomb)
Mrs. Ellen Louise Holcomb Risner, age 86 of 7866 Mt. Olivet Road, Hartwell, Ga., went to be with the Lord on November 18, 2015 at St. Mary's Sacred Heart Hospital in Lavonia.
Born April 12, 1929 in Royston, Ga., she was the daughter of the late Ludlow Holcomb and Mary Fuller Holcomb. She was a retired nursing assistant and of the Methodist Faith.
She is survived by; her children, Brenda Crocker and her husband Roger of Hartwell, Ga.,Eddie Risner and his wife, Melissa of Hartwell, Ga., Randy Risner and his wife Sheryl of Hartwell, Ga., and Ronnie Stancil of Hartwell, Ga., siblings, Betty Macbee, Francis Macbee, David Holcomb and Bobby Ray Holcomb all of South Carolina. Ten grandchildren and fourteen great-grandchildren and three great-great grandchildren also survive. She was preceded in death by her infant daughter, Sue Ellen Risner and husband, Joseph Edward "Streak" Risner.
Services celebrating the life of Ellen Risner will be held on Saturday, November 21, 2015 at Two O'Clock p.m. in the chapel of Coile-Hall-Spagnoli Funeral Home. Mr. Fred Greenway will officiate. Committal services will take place at Reed Creek Baptist Church Cemetery. Pallbearers serving will be; Chance O'Barr, Chris O'Barr, Grant Risner, Braylon Alexander, Corey Risner and RJ Bailey
The family will receive friends on Saturday from 12-2 prior to the service at the funeral home. The family will at their respective homes. Coile-Hall-Spagnoli Funeral Home of Hartwell will be in charge. Online condolences may be made by visiting www.chsfuneralhome.com
