Eddie Maxwell

Mr. Eddie Nelson Maxwell, age 59 of Bowman, Ga., was born January 15, 1965 to the late Nelson Eddie Maxwell and Lizzie Mae Maxwell Geter.

At an early age, Eddie joined the Rucker's Grove Baptist Church. He participated in many church functions and community activities.

He was a 1983 graduate of Elbert County Comprehensive High School. Eddie was known to participate in many multi-talented musical instruments. Also, he was a member of ROTC drill team and marching band.

After high school, he enlisted in the U.S. Navy and studied engineering. He learned many skills during his lifetime. He was a multi skilled person and was employed with LG Carpentry. He was well known in the community and had an out going personality, laughter and unpredictable conversations. He was loved by family and friends in the community.

He leaves to cherish his memory; his mother, Lizzie Maxwell (Howard) Geter, sisters, Stephanie Maxwell and Sharon (Greg) Cunningham of Bowman, uncles, Thomas (Rose) Blackwell of Bowman, Gilbert (Linda) McIntosh of Athens, aunts, Della Wheeler and Hilda Teasley James of Bowman, and Lillie Matthews of Charlotte, N.C.. Godmother, Louise Tate of Elberton, Ga., his beloved niece, Taniah Nicole Cunningham and the James family along with nieces, nephews and a host of relatives and friends 

Funeral services will be held on Saturday, March 9, 2024 at One o'clock from Rucker's Grove Baptist Church with Rev. Bobby Berryman officiating.
Burial will follow in Rucker's Grove Baptist Church Cemetery. He will be placed in the church one hour prior to the service.
 
 He will lie in state on Friday, March 8, 2024 from 12:00-4:00 pm at Coile and Hall Funeral Directors for those who wish to pay their respects.
