E. James “Jim” Reese, Jr.

E. James Reese, Jr “Jim” 83 of Blairsville, GA and Seminole, FL passed away unexpectedly at his residence in Blairsville Monday. Born in St Petersburg,Fl a 1961 graduate of Dixie Hollins High School in St Petersburg and a 1966 graduate of the Kentucky School of Mortuary Science in Louisville, KY. 

He was the owner of the E. James Reese Funeral Home and Crematory in Seminole Florida opening in 1970. He was a member of Gulf Beach Masonic Lodge #291 F&AM - Madeira Beach, Fl and Scottish Rite Temple & Egypt Temple Shrine both of Tampa, Fl. Past President of the Seminole Shine Club and a 30 year member of the Seminole Kiwanis Club in Seminole, Fl. He was a member of Faith Community Church in Seminole, Fl. 

Survivors include his wife of 62 years Barbara Tyler Reese, Sons E. James Reese, III “Jim” (Noelle) of Canon, GA Christopher Michael Reese of Seminole, Fl. Sister Julie Keith (Bill) of Winter Park, Florida, Grandchildren Logan Reese of Clearwater, Fl. Brittany Miller of Canon, GA, Ashlynn Reese of Vanna, GA and 3 great Grandchildren.

Graveside funeral services will be scheduled at the Seminole Pioneer Cemetery in Seminole, Fl at a later date.

Local care has been entrusted to Coile and Hall Funeral Directors of 333 E. Johnson St. Hartwell, GA 30643.
