Dr. Joseph Robbin “Joe” Clark, D.D.S., affectionately known as “PaPa Joe,” age 70, of Commerce, Georgia, passed away on July 27, 2026, at his home.

Born on June 21, 1956, in Fountain Inn, South Carolina, Joe was the son of Mrs. Patricia Ann Gault Clark and the late Delmar Clark Sr.

Joe attended the Emory University School of Dentistry and faithfully served families, friends, and neighbors through his dental practice in Commerce for more than 40 years. A loving father and compassionate dentist, he touched countless lives throughout his career. Joe was also an American Sign Language interpreter and enjoyed caring for and showing horses.

Following his retirement from dentistry, Joe worked as a cashier at Walmart in Commerce. This new role allowed him to continue meeting people and touching even more lives through his kindness, compassion, and friendly spirit.

In addition to his mother, Patricia Ann Gault Clark of Sarasota, Florida, Joe is survived by his daughter, Courtney Cash and her husband, Justin, of Carnesville, Georgia; son, Chad Clark and his wife, Jessica, of Commerce, Georgia; brother, Delmar Clark Jr. and his wife, Jeanne, of Clarkesville, Georgia; grandchildren, Maci, Ahna, Cannan, Jett, Clay, Sarah Ann, and Myla; and nieces, Jennifer Brown and Jocelyn Arnold.

Joe also leaves behind a host of extended family members, friends, former patients, coworkers, and others to whom he so freely showed love and compassion. He will be remembered as “PaPa Joe,” a loving father, a dedicated dentist, and a kindhearted man who made a lasting difference in the lives of many.

A Celebration of Dr. Clark’s life will be held at a date and time to be announced.
