Mr. Douglas Ankerich, age 77 of Carrie Craft Road, Bowersville, GA, went to be with the Lord on Saturday, December 21, 2019 at the home.

He was born August 30, 1942 in Hart County the son of the late Pascal Ankerich and Jessie Mae Brown Ankerich. He worked as an electrician at Monroe for 48 years. He served his country in the US Air Force and was a member of Cross Roads Baptist Church.

He is survived by his wife Shirley Ankerich; daughters, Angie Lunsford Sprayberry and her husband Scott of Homer, GA, Breanna Stansell of Hartwell, step-daughters, Tabitha Hill and her husband Mark of Royston, GA and Tammie Sheriff of Marietta, GA; step-son, Scotty Stansell of Hartwell, GA; grand children, Gray Lunsford, Grace Lunsford, Gatlin Lunsford, Faith Wood, Amber Hill, Garrett Hill and Cruz Womack; great grand children, Brayson Lunsford, Peyton Lunsford, Blakeley Bird, Jett Jones, Makenna Hill, Collin Womack, and Kensley Womack. He is preceded in death by his parents and brothers, Joel Ankerich, Bobby Ankerich, Bill Ankerich, Ray Ankerich, and Ronnie Ankerich.

Funeral services for Mr. Ankerich will be held on Friday, December 27, 2019 at 11 am in the Chapel of the Coile and Hall Funeral Directors. Rev. Wayne Durden and Rev. Jerome Hill will officiate. Burial will follow in the Nancy Hart Memorial Park, The family will receive friends on Thursday, December 26, 2019 from 6-8 pm. The family will be at the home.

Coile and Hall Funeral Directors, 333 E. Johnson Street in Hartwell will be serving the Ankerich family.
