Mr. Ernest Douglas (Doug) Simpson, age 69 of Hartwell entered into rest on Tuesday, April 24, 2018 at Sherrills Ford Hospice House in Sherrills Ford, NC
He was born in Abbeville, SC to the late Ernest Douglas Simpson, Sr., and Amanda Link Ethridge. He was a carpenter and former deputy sheriff.
He is survived by; daughter, Laura Todd, Commerce, Ga., siblings, Robbie Walker, Debbie Borders, Cindy Sokol, all of Hartwell, Ga., Deana Parker, Bowman, Ga., and Donnie Ethridge, Hartwell, Ga. One grandchild also survives.
Services celebrating Doug's life will be held on Wednesday, May 2, 2018 at Ten o'clock a.m. from the chapel of Coile and Hall Funeral Directors. Rev. Terry Meeks will officiate.. The family will be at their respective homes.
Coile and Hall Funeral Directors, 333 E. Johnson Street in Hartwell will be serving the Simpson family.
