Dorothy Jean Anderson

Mrs. Dorothy Jean Goldenbogen Anderson, age 101 of Hartwell, Ga., passed away  peacefully on May 28, 2025 at the home of her grandson Michael & Kristin Habel in Carnesville, Ga. 

She was born on May 6, 1924 in Chicago, IL to the late Walter Karl Goldenbogen and Evelyn Vanetta Webb Goldenbogen. She was  a member of AM Vets where she was past president and received the service award, and veterans affairs outstanding service (Voluntary). Dorothy was a member of Sacred Heart of Jesus Catholic Church.

Left to cherish her memory are; her children, Harlene (Tom) Habel, Gail (James) Beardsley and Donna Colombani. Nine grandchildren and thirteen great-grandchildren survive. She was preceded in death by her parents, husband, Harold Andy Anderson, daughter, Sharon Joanne Anderson, brother, Roy Goldenbogen, sister, Josephine Miller, and grandson, Robert Colombani II and a son in law Robert Colombani Sr.

A memorial mass will be held at Sacred Heart of Jesus Catholic Church on Friday, June 6, 2025 at Eleven o'clock. She will be laid to rest at Sacred Heart of Jesus Catholic Church Memorial Garden.

The family will receive friends from 10-11 just prior to the mass at the church.
