Mr. Donnie Otway Dodson, age 67 of Concord, N.C., went to be with the Lord on Tuesday, July 28, 2020 in Concord.
He was born on July 8, 1953 in Winnsboro, S.C., to the late Mr. Delma Dodson and Doris Vaughn Dodson.. He was a graduate of Franklin County High School, served in the Navy Reserves, and was a construction project manager in precast.
He is survived by; his wife, Mary Skora Dodson of Concord, children, Kevin (Ashley) Dodson of Tampa, FL., Kyle (Sydney) Dodson, Royston, Ga., and Anna (Roger) Collins of Concord, N.C., siblings, Cathy Smith of Lavonia, Ga., Karen Dean of Toccoa, Ga., and Alyce Adkins of Blairsville, Ga., grandchildren, Cole, Baylor, Madden, Everette, Blane, Asa, Charleigh, Dilan, Andi, Matt, Garrett and Marissa, nephews, Olin and Matthew Smith, niece, Laura Smith and several great nieces, nephews, cousins, special friends and his fur babies, Sassy and Smoke.
Memorial services celebrating Donnie's life will be held on Saturday, August 15, 2020 at Two o'clock in the chapel of Coile and Hall Funeral Directors with Rev. Leon Carson officiating and the eulogy given by Mr. Roger Collins.. The family will greet friends from 1:00 -2:00 just prior to the service at the funeral home. In lieu of flowers, please make memorials to the SPCA or St. Jude Children's Research Hospital.
