Mr. Donald Jack Brown, 66, of Hartwell, husband of Brenda Brown, passed away on Friday, July 29, 2023.

Born in Atlanta on November 12, 1956, he was a 1974 graduate of Elbert County High School and a member of Harmony Baptist Church. Donald was retired from Henry & Henry Trucking Company after spending decades in the transportation industry. He had a heart of gold and would do anything for anybody. Donald's outgoing personality was as big as his heart, and he was always the life of the party everywhere he went. His humor and quick wit made it impossible not to enjoy being with him.

Surviving, in addition to his wife of 48 years, Brenda, are his son and daughter-in-law, Chris and Kristal Brown of Clemmons, NC; grandchildren: Cameron Brown and Ryan Brown, both of Clemmons, NC; mother, Sara Frances Payton Brown of Elberton; siblings: Norma and Vernon Norman of Elberton, David and Denise Brown of Greenwood, SC, Libby and Ricky Rochester of Belton, SC, and Randy and Carol Elliott of Dallas, GA; special nephew, Stan Linker of Anderson, SC; as well as a host of nieces, nephews, and other relatives.  He had a brother-like bond with Donnie and Anita Hudson, and their family.

He is preceded in death by his father, Jack Brown; son, Scott Brown; and special brother-in-law, Jimmy Linker.

A time of visitation celebrating Donald's life will be held on Monday, July 31, from 5:00-7:00p.m. at Berry Funeral Home.

In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made in his memory to University Blood and Cancer Center, 3320 Old Jefferson Road, Building 700, Athens, GA 30607.

Those wishing may sign the online guestbook at www.berryfh.com.

Berry Funeral Home & Crematory of Elberton is respectfully in charge of arrangements for Mr. Donald Jack Brown.
