Diane Carver

Mrs. Diane S. Braggs Carver, age 72 of 988 Jud Cole Road in Canon, Ga., passed away peacefully on Sunday, June 26, 2022 at home surrounded by her family.

She was born on October 3, 1949 in Anderson, S.C., to the late Joe Calvin Braggs and Mae Richey Braggs. Diane retired as a supervisor with Comer Nursing Home. She loved to make quilts, crafts and had a passion for hummingbirds. Diane was a member of the Lavonia Moose Lodge and Women of the Moose. She was a faithful member of Calvary Baptist Church.

She is survived by; her husband of over 48 years, Thomas Carver, daughter, Amanda (Pete) Maxwell of Bowman, Ga., and MaeLee Sherman of Honea Path, S.C. Grandchildren, Nicole, Alex, Brandi, Steven and Randall along with twelve great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her parents, sons, Dewey Thomas Carver, Jr., and Ronnie Sherman and by her siblings, Jack Braggs, Joe Braggs and Floyd Richey.

Funeral services celebrating her life will be held on Saturday, July 2, 2022 at One o'clock in the chapel of Coile and Hall Funeral Directors with Rev. Gary Bill officiating. The family will receive friends on Saturday 11:30 a.m. until 1:00 p.m. just prior to the service. At her request she will be cremated following the service and a private burial will be at Flat Shoals Baptist Church Cemetery.

In lieu of flowers, please make memorials to Amedysis Hospice, 57 Rock Drive, Toccoa, Ga. 30577.The family will be at the home, 988 Jud Cole Road in Canon. Arrangements are under the care of Coile and Hall Funeral Directors, 333 E. Johnson Street in Hartwell.
