Dennis Ferguson

Dennis Bruce Ferguson, age 78, died at his Hartwell, GA home on July 21st, 2025. He was born in California on March 7th, 1947 to the late Archie Leslie Ferguson and Elizabeth Mary (Gray) Ferguson. In 2013, he moved to Hartwell, GA, with his wife Karin (Wiest) Ferguson.

Dennis loved archery, woodworking, shooting trap and skeet, and oil painting.Dennis is preceded in death by his brothers William Leslie Ferguson, Arthur Dale Ferguson.In addition to his wife Dennis is survived by his brother Patrick Walter Ferguson, and sister Lois Marilyn Ferguson. He was the youngest of his siblings.

Dennis was drafted into the U.S. Army in 1967 and served 4 tours in Vietnam. He reenlisted after Vietnam and continued to serve until his retirement in 1989 after 22 years in Mannheim, Germany.

Dennis had 2 children Marilyn Marie (Ferguson) Koehler and Bruce Wil Ferguson, and 3 grandchildren: Joshua Koehler, Ryan Koehler, and Alexis Lynn Ferguson. He also had 2 stepchildren Christoph Wiest and Nico Wiest (Linda).

A celebration of Life will be held on Wednesday, August 27, 2025 at 2:00 PM from the chapel of Coile and Hall Funeral Director.
