Darius Brente' "D. Hill" , age 25, of Atlanta , GA formerly of Hartwell, GA, went to be with the Lord on Thursday, October 14, 2021 at Piedmont Henry Hospital.
He was born on March 27, 1996 in Toccoa, GA the son of Mr. George "Darryl" Hill and Mrs. Kewana Norman Gaines. He was a graduate of Hart County High School. After working several jobs Darius took the leap of faith and moved to Atlanta to pursue his dream and passion to write and produce music.
After a time of struggle D. Hill got his big break; according to BET "Hailing from Hartwell, Georgia, D. Hill (real name Darius Hill) is best known for co-producing Drake and Future’s 9x platinum, Grammy-nominated hit “Life Is Good,” as well as the duo’s Dark Lane Demos collaboration “Desires.” He also produced several songs on Future and Lil Uzi Vert’s joint album Pluto x Baby Pluto, including “I Don’t Wanna Break Up,” “Sleeping On the Floor” and “Over Your Head.”
Along with his music career Darius was the founder of the non-profit CLIMB Foundation, a clothing line High Hill Clothing and his studio High Hill Studio. He was also a member of Calvary Baptist Church in Bowersville, GA.
Surviving to cherish his memory are his parents; Mother, Mrs. Kewana Norman Gaines and step-father, Michael Gaines of Hartwell; father; Mr. George "Darryl" Hill of Toccoa, Grandparents; Brenda Ann Norman and Leonard Lumpkin of Hartwell; Siblings; Quanesha Hill of Lavonia and "Little Bro" Brendan Norman, niece, Kenomi Bennett and special friend: Cabrial Hamilton.
The Celebration of Life Service for Darius Hill will be held on Monday, October 25, 2021, at 1 o'clock at the Cornerstone Baptist Church in Hartwell, GA. The Prophet Fredrick Norman will officiate. Burial will follow in the Calvary Baptist Church Cemetery in Bowersville, GA. The family will be gathering at the home, 160 Savannah St. Ext., Hartwell GA.
The family has chosen the Coile and Hall Funeral Directors, 333 E. Johnson St. Hartwell, GA 30643 to arrange and conduct all services for Darius Hill.
