Obituary for Dan Freeman

Mr. Dan Richard Freeman, age 66 of Commerce, Georgia, Formerly of Hartwell, Georgia entered into rest Friday, August 14, 2015. Mr. Freeman was born in Lavonia, Georgia the son of the late Carl William Freeman and the late Faith Hunter Freeman, was a Truck Driver with Folger Gas and was a member and Deacon of Jackson County Baptist Church. In addition to his parents, Mr. Freeman is preceded by two sisters Barbara Freeman and Amzella “Amy” Cantrell and three brothers; Bill, Reece and Harold Freeman. Survivors include his wife Florence McCurley Freeman of Commerce, son Jeremy Freeman and his wife Elizabeth of Jefferson, grandchildren; Caroline and Luke Freeman of Jefferson. Brothers; Henry Freeman and his wife Janice of Hartwell, Terry Freeman and his wife Susan of Hartwell. Sisters; Mae Beebe of Lavonia, and Lena McCollum of Star, South Carolina, numerous nieces, nephews and cousins also survive. Funeral services will be held at 11:00 A.M. Monday, August 17, 2015 from the Chapel of Evans Funeral Home with Dr. Jack Lawson and Reverend Andy Huff officiating with burial to follow in Evans Memory Gardens. Gentlemen honored as pallbearers will be Darrell Crowe, Mike Nabors, Tim Land, Ben Land, Sam Thomas and Brian Wood. The family will receive friends at the Funeral Home on Sunday, August 16, 2015, 2 – 4, and 6 – 8 P.M.. Memorials may be made to the Jackson County Baptist Church, P.O.
