Mrs. Cola Mae Wakefield Franzen, age 95 of 45 Walnut Street in Hartwell entered into rest on Thursday, April 5, 2018 at Brookdale Assited Living Center.
Cola was born on February 4, 1923 in Hart County to the late Jule Wakefield and Iney Duncan Wakefield. She was a retired Literary Translator in the publishing industry. She is survived by her nieces and was the last surviving member of her immediate family. She was preceded in death by her parents and her husband, Wolfgang Franzen
It was Cola's wishes to be cremated and a memorial service and burial will take place at a later date.
Coile and Hall Funeral Directors, 333 E. Johnson Street in Hartwell will be serving the Franzen family.
