Chuck Elon Martin

Mr. Chuck Elon Martin, age 58 of Hartwell, passed away on February 18, 2024 at Anmed Medical Center. He was born on October 10, 1965  in Hart County to the late Mr. Joe Lee Tate and Mrs. Aileen Martin Tate. He was employed for 33 years at Milliken and most recently was employed by R&D Maintenance Services. He attended Hart County High School and was of the Methodist faith.

He is survived by his wife Pamela Rucker Martin of Athens, Ga., his grandmother Ida Ruth Martin, by his children, Chatavious Martin (Tammia) of Hartwell, Hunter Martin of Athens, Jamarkus Walker of Hartwell, Dorsica Davis of Athens and Demetria Hunt of Athens; his siblings, Mark Tate of Hartwell and Elaine Tate of Hartwell; Aunts and Uncles, Bobbie (James) Freeman, Opal Stockton, Maria Tate, Charles (Mary Rose) Martin, Jimmy (Jessie) Martin, Otis Tate, Roy Tate;  four grandchildren, Davion, Taylor, Braeson,and Bravery, numerous nieces and nephews and his best friend, Stonie Jones. 

He was preceded in death by his parents.

A funeral service for Mr. Chuck Martin will be held on Friday, Feb. 23, 2024 at Two o'clock in the chapel of Coile and Hall Funeral Directors, 333 E. Johnson Street in Hartwell. Burial will be at Memorial Garden of Prayer.

His body will lie in state on Thursday, Feb. 22, 2024 from 12-4 for those that wish to pay their respects. 

Services have been entrusted to Coile and Hall Funeral Directors, 333 E. Johnson Street in Hartwell.
