Chevis "Jimmy" Dutton

Mr. Chevis James "Jimmy" Dutton, age 60 of B. Bailey Road in Hartwell, Ga., passed away on Thursday, August 30, 2023 at St. Mary's Hospital in Athens.

He was born on July 16, 1963 in Anderson, S.C. He was truck driver and worked with Lake Foods. He was of the Baptist faith.

Left to cherish his memories are; his mother, Sue Taylor Sayer, wife, Dorothy "Dottie" Hicks Dutton, children, Savannah (Cory) Kotal, Megan Segars and Wyatt Hicks, brother, David Dutton and sister in law, Missie Taylor, sister in law Debra Hicks, nieces, nephews and great nieces and nephews also survive. He was preceded in death by his father, James Dutton, brother, Robert Taylor and sister, Tracy Gibson.

Funeral services for Jimmy Dutton will be held on Saturday, September 2, 2023 at One o'clock in the chapel of Coile and Hall Funeral Directors with Pastor Greg Ramsey officiating. The family will receive friends one hour prior to the funeral at the funeral home.  To honor his request, he will be cremated following the service.

Services have been entrusted to Coile and Hall Funeral Directors, 333 E. Johnson Street in Hartwell.
