Mr. Charles "Ray" Kirkpatrick, age 81, of Elberton, Georgia, passed away on Saturday, August 8, 2026 at Heardmont Health and Rehab.

Ray was born on April 2, 1945, in Newport, Tennessee, to the late Grover Kirkpatrick and Faye Moore Kirkpatrick.

Charles proudly served his country in the United States Army. Throughout his working years, he was employed as an electrician, a trade well suited to his hardworking nature and many talents. He was known as a man who could work with his hands and was always willing to put those skills to good use.

Away from work, Charles enjoyed the simple things in life, especially anything that allowed him to be outdoors. Camping and fishing were among his favorite pastimes, and he also enjoyed yard sales and the opportunity to find something interesting or useful. Above all, Charles was a devoted husband, father, grandfather, and great-grandfather whose family held a special place in his life.In addition to his parents, Ray was preceded in death by his daughter, Shirley Kirkpatrick, and brothers, Wade Kirkpatrick and Hugh Kirkpatrick.

Ray is survived by his wife of 42 years Marcia Kirkpatrick; daughters, Susan Kirkpatrick (Johnny), Drema Kirkpatrick, and Kathy McCulloch (Aubrey) ; sisters, Linda Lydeen(Damon), and Betty Harrison; five grandchildren; and seven great-grandchildren. He also leaves behind extended family members and friends who will cherish his memory.

A celebration of Ray's Life will be held at a later time. Services have been entrusted to Coile and Hall Funeral Directors and Crematory of 333 E. Johnson Street Hartwell, GA 30643.
