Charles Chastain

Mr. Charles Chastain, age 76, of Royston, Ga, passed away peacefully on Thursday, November 16, 2023 at St. Mary's Hospital in Athens. He was born in Royston GA on February 22, 1947 to the late George and Anna Bell Little Chastain. He worked as a heavy equipment operator for McLanahans in the granite industry. He enjoyed cars, doing yard work and playing horse shoes. He was of the Baptist Faith.

He was preceded in death by his parents and close relative, Pete Wells.

Left to cherish his memories are his spouse, Sandra Manley Chastain, children; James Edward Chastain, Charles Daniel Chastain, Brian Taylor Chastain, siblings; Georgia Elaine Outz of Royston and Frankie Chastain of Lavonia, 8 grandchildren and 9 great-grandchildren.

At his request, he will be cremated and a celebration of life will be held on Tuesday, November 28, 2023 at 2:00 pm at the Chapel of  Coile and Hall Funeral Directors.

Services have been entrusted to Coile and Hall Funeral Directors, 333 E. Johnson Street in Hartwell.
