Obituary for Charles Eugene Bowen
Mr. Charles Eugene Bowen, age 79 of 94 Cade Street, Hartwell, Ga., went home to be with the Lord on Friday, December 4, 2015 at Hartwell Health and Rehab.
Born July 9, 1936 in Hartwell, Ga., to the late Albert E. Bowen and Edna Rowland Bowen he was retired from Tenneco Automotive as a fork lift operator with 42 years of service. He was amember of Jones Chapel United Methodist Church.
He is survived by; children, Randy Bowen and his wife Elaine of Royston, Ga., Pete Bowen and his wife Phyllis of Bowersville, Ga., Cindy Simpson and her husband, Randall of Hartwell, Ga., and David Bowen and his wife, Carol of Lavonia, Ga. sister, Ann Baker of Hartwell, Ga.,and Clara Glenn of Seneca, SC, brother, Jim Bowen of Hartwell, Ga., Grandchildren, Daniel and Stephen Bowen, Amanda Crowe, Nathan Bowen, Jeffrey Simpson, Jason Simpson, Joshua Simpson, Jonathan Bowen and Cody Trent. Eight great-grandchildren survive. He was preceded in death by his parents, wife, Claudine Weaver Bowen, brothers, George, and Roy Lee Bowen, sisters, Faye Hill and Fannie Gaines and by his great-grandchild, Emma Kayte Simpson.
Services celebrating the life of Mr. Charles Bowen will be held on Sunday, December 6, 2015 at Three O'Clock p.m. from the chapel of Coile-Hall-Spagnoli Funeral Home with Rev. Johnny Stowe and Mr. Fred Greenway officiating. Visitation will be held from 1 to 3 just prior to the service. The family will be at the home of David and Carol Bowen 17 Huntington Street (Stonebrook Subdivision), Lavonia, Ga. Memorials may be made Gentiva Hospice in Mr. Bowens memory.
