Ms. Cathy Marlene Elder, age 56 of Crawford, Ga., entered into eternal rest on April 11, 2019 in an automobile accident.
She was born December 23, 1962 in Athens, Ga., and was formerly employed with UGA and of the Methodist faith. She loved helping people and volunteered at the senior center in Crawford.
She is survived by; her mother, Gloria Cartwright Norton of Hartwell, Ga., siblings, Cindy Walker of Hartwell, Ga., Elaine Carson of Knoxville, TN, Emory Elder of Milton, Ga., Brad Norton of Henderson, NV Joan McDonald of Hampton, Ga., and Brenda Davis of Simpsonville, SC and her friend, Keith Sanders. She was preceded in death by her father, Emory Nelson Elder.
Memorial services celebrating Cathy's life will be held on Wednesday, April 17, 2019 at Five o'clock p.m. in the chapel of Coile and Hall Funeral Directors and Cremation Services in Hartwell. Dr. R. Allen Stewart will be officiating. The family will greet friends from 4-5 at the funeral home just prior to the service. The family will be at their respective homes.
