Carey Hill

Mr. Carey H. Hill, age 82 of Cromer Road in Elberton, Ga., passed away peacefully on Wednesday, January 17, 2024 at Hartwell Health and Rehab.

He was born on September 21, 1941 in Hartwell to the late Marvin and Maggie Smith Hill. He was retired from Prestolite as a supervisor. Carey enjoyed woodworking, hunting, spending time with his family, and he most cherished fishing at Santee Cooper with his best friend Ed Smith. He was a Christian.

Left to cherish his memories are; his wife Lynda S. Hill, sons, David Hill of Elberton, Ga., and Matt Hill of Winder, Ga., grandchildren, Briana Armour, D.J. Hill, Jonathan Hill, Craig Hill, Jessica and Randy, great-grandchildren, Wyatt, Lawson, Gunner, Ali Ray, Case, Briegan, Luke, Grant, Colton and Sophie. He was preceded in death by his parents, son, Scott Hill, siblings, Libby Johnson, J.K. Hill, Gene Hill and Mary Fowler.

The Hill family will host a private memorial service at a later time.

Services have been entrusted to Coile  and Hall Funeral Directors, 333 E. Johnson Street in Hartwell.
