Mr. Bobby "Buddyro" DeEstel Martin, age 77 of Canon, Ga., passed away peacefully on early Sunday morning, January 18, 2026 at the St. Mary's Hospital, Athens.

Bobby was born on September 13, 1948 in Marion, N.C. He had a career in plant maintenance and his last tenure was a security guard with Allied Security at the Tenneco Plant. Bobby loved spending time with his family and he loved the outdoors where he loved to fish and was an animal lover, especially his dogs. He proudly served in the U.S. Army with the rank of Sergeant E5.

Left to cherish his memory are; his wife, Debra Milford Martin, daughter, Nikki O'Barr (Ryan) of Canon, Ga., siblings, Doris "Sissy" Woody, Crystal Morrow, Jimmy Martin, Karen Fazio, and Ralph Childers, grandchildren, Austin Clark, Bryce Graham, Weston O'Barr and Riverlee O'Barr. He was preceded in death by his parents, Isaac Martin and Charlie Raye Patton Childers, son, Jason Bobby Martin, siblings, Broadus Martin, Carroll "Hat" Martin and Larry Childers.

The family will honor Bobby's request to be cremated and will hold a celebration of his life on Wednesday, January 21, 2026 from 2-4 p.m. at Cedar Creek Baptist Church. Family members will be at their respective homes.
