Mr. Billy Fay Lewey, age 89 of Hartwell, Ga passed away on Sunday July 20, 2025 at AnMed Health Medical Center following a brief illness. Born on April 26, 1936 in Greensboro, Nc. Billy was a member of Mt. Hebron Baptist Church where he served as a Deacon. Billy was a Vice President in the construction industry. Billy was a United States Veteran having served with the Army National Guard. He was a lover of all things outdoors particularly hunting and fishing. 

Billy is preceded in death by his parents and nine siblings. 

Billy is survived by his wife Annie "Sue" (Johnson) Lewey. Sons Mike Lewey (Lesley), and Mitch Lewey (Jill). Five Grandchildren Bryant Lewey, Michael Lewey, Victoria Woodhull, Bridget Lewey, and Hanna Lewey, as well as to great- grandchildren Anna Grace and Tripp Woodhull. 

A funeral service will be held on Saturday, July 26, 2025 at 11:00 AM from Mt. Hebron Baptist Church. Burial will follow in the church cemetery. The family will receive friends following the burial in the fellowship hall of Mt. Hebron Baptist Church. 

Mrs. Sue Lewey is currently recovering from a extended illness and the family asks for her privacy at this time. 

In lieu of flowers memorials may be made to Mt. Hebron Baptist Church 273 Mt. Hebron Road Hartwell, GA 30643 or the American Lung Association in Billy's honor.  

If you do wish to send flowers, please have them delivered to Mt Hebron Baptist Church. The church will be open during the day on Thursday and Friday prior to the service. 

Services have been entrusted to Coile and Hall Funeral Directors and Crematory of Hartwell, Ga.
