Billie J. Cooper, age 65, of Cumming, GA, formally of Hartwell, GA, passed away on December 5, 2018. Billie was born on September 5, 1953 in Snyder Texas to the late Bryant, Sr. and Doris Smith.

Billie dedicated 20 plus years of service at the United States Postal Service, where she served as a mail courier at the Alpharetta, GA and Bowersville, GA branches until her retirement. She attended services most recently at Friendship Baptist Church in Cumming, GA. Billie found her calling in missionary work, where she poured every ounce of love and passion into bringing joy and happiness to many families. She was also one of the founding members of Acts 1:8 Missions Ministry and spent more than 20 years and countless mission trips each year serving families in Moldova and Haiti. Billie will always be remembered how quickly she was to lend a helping hand, a kiss on the cheek, and a hug to anyone she felt needed it. During Billie’s 65 years of life filled with bringing joy and happiness to all around her, there was never a doubt of her undying loyalty and love for the University of Georgia football.

In addition to her parents, Billie is preceded in death by her husband Johnny Cooper, her brother Bryant Jr and her nephews Travis and Kevin Garner.

Billie is survived by her three sisters Sharon Self, Barbara Pelt and Debra Dowling; along with seven nieces and one nephew; along with countless friends and family members who loved her dearly.

The family will receive friends at Ingram funeral home on Sunday December 9, 2018 at 1 pm, Chapel services will commence at 2 pm and the family will gather privately at Sawnee View Gardens for the graveside services.

In lieu of flowers, Billie requested any and all donations be made to the Acts 1:8 Mission P.O Box 822 Hartwell, GA 30643 or email www.acts1eight.org.
