Betty Sue Skelton

Mrs. Betty Sue Kay Skelton, age 95 of Vanna, GA, passed away peacefully Sunday, April 23, 2023, at The Veranda in Carnesville.  

She was born on November 20, 1927 in Oakwood, GA to the late Viola Winn Kay and Toombs Hodges Kay. She was a homemaker and a member of Royston United Methodist Church.

She is survived by her son Mitch Skelton and wife Amy Skelton of Royston, her siblings John Wesley Kay of Young Harris, and Gary Winn Kay and wife Susan Kay of Royston; as well as grand-children, Marina Syrax (Mike), Susan Hunsinger (Hal), Steven Skelton (Blair), Sam Skelton (Samantha), Jacob Skelton, Erin Skelton Toole (Dakota),great-grandchildren, Madeline Hunsinger, Maggie Hunsinger, Jackson Skelton, Grady Skelton, Hunter Skelton, Abigail Toole, Austin Skelton and Theo Skelton. She was preceded in death by her parents; husband, Fred Lester Skelton; daughter, Sandra June Skelton; and sisters Lula Kay Patat McBath, Jean Kay Holmes, Sara Kay Phillips, Nell Kay Huskey, Pat Kay Nix and Peggy Kay Carey; brothers Thomas Alton Kay, Toombs H. Kay, Jr. and Terry W. Kay.

The family will hold a private memorial service at a later date.
