Obituary for Betty Clark Milford
Mrs. Betty Clark Milford, age 85 of 474 Ridgeview Road, Lavonia, Ga., went to be with the Lord early Friday morning, March 3, 2017 at her home surrounded by her family.
Mrs. Milford was born February 21, 1932 in Hart County to the late Haynie Clark and Edna Sanders Clark. She was a retired supervisor with Carwood Mfg. Co., with 26 years of service and later retired from Tenneco Automotive with 11 years of service. Mrs. Milford was also a licensed cosmetologist. She loved the Lord and loved raising day lilies. She was a member of River of Life Church.
She is survived by; her daughters, Sabra Bowers of Duluth, Ga., Tina Lawrence of Lavonia, Ga., and step-son, Doug Milford of Darlington, S.C., sisters Patsy Bowen of Hartwell, Ga.,and Ann McCall of Simpsonville, S.C. and brother, Jimmy Clark of Hartwell,Ga. grandchildren, Dwight Slater, Jr., Angie Shulz, Dana Bowers and Chad Milford. Two great-grandchildren, Brandon and Vance Slater. She was preceded in death by her parents, husband, Thomas B. Milford, son, Dwight Slater and his wife, Inge, step-son, Danny Milford and her siblings, Hoyt Clark and Carolyn Boles.
Graveside services will be held Sunday, March 5, 2017 at Three o'clock p.m. from the Memorial Garden of Prayer in Hartwell. Rev. Ken Buffington will officiate. The family will greet friends from 1:30 - 2:30 just prior to the service at the funeral home. Memorials may be made to the TJ and Friends Foundation PO Box 6161
