Obituary for Barbara Haygood

Mrs. Barbara Joann Corn Haygood, age 69 of 1784 Will Bailey Road, Hartwell, went to be with the Lord on Monday, January 23, 2017 at her home surrounded by her family.

She was born January 21, 1948 in Franklin County, GA. She was the daughter of the late Fred Corn and Dallas Sue Floyd Corn. She was retired after serving many years as Manager of Hartwell Burger King. She attended Price Chapel Church of God; was a member of Mt. Olivet Church of God and was a member of the Senior Saints. Mrs. Haygood was a faithful foster parent having cared for 58 foster children over her lifetime.

Barbara Haygood is survived by her husband: Ray Haygood of the home, children: Lynn Argo of Hartwell, Annette LaBranche of Hartwell, Freddy Haygood Sr. of Hartwell, Billy Ray Haygood of Hartwell, and Matthew Prickett of Hartwell; brother Tommy Corn of Martin; 31 grandchildren; 24 great grandchildren and 58 foster children. She was preceded in death by her parents and brothers: Frank Corn, Billy Corn, Richard Corn, and Phil Corn.

Services celebrating the life of Barbara Haygood will be held on Wednesday, January 25, 2017 at Two o'clock pm in the chapel of the Coile Hall Spagnoli Funeral Home of Hartwell. Rev. Johnny Stowe and Rev. Josh Gibson will officiate. Burial will follow in the Mt. Olivet Church of God Cemetery.

The family will receive friends on Tuesday, January 24, 2016 from 6-8:00 pm at the Coile Hall Spagnoli Funeral Home of Hartwell.

The Coile-Hall-Spagnoli Funeral Home, 333 E. Johnson St., of Hartwell will be in charge of all arrangements.
