Arthur Allen

Mr. Arthur Lee Allen, age 77 of Allen Orsley Road in Dewy Rose, Ga., passed away peacefully on Sunday, August 27, 2023 at home with his loved ones at his bedside.

He was born on June 11, 1946 in Hartwell Ga to the late Ulysses Allen and Evelyn Ruth Wilkins Allen. He was a welder with Royston LLC. He was a member of Ruckers Grove Baptist Church. He read his Bible daily and loved the Lord. He enjoyed baseball, gardening, Georgia football and fishing.

He is survived by his wife of 57 years, Bobbie Saddler Allen ; his children, son Tracy Allen (Annie) of Dewy Rose, daughter Sonya Brown (Arthur) of Comer; siblings, Doris Hughes (Aaron), Willie Allen (Rogene), Shelby Harper (Felton), Sandra Cade (Sammy) and Phyllis Allen Brown; three grandchildren, Ashli, Dominique, and Marissa; brother in laws; Leroy Saddler ( Ella), Marshall Saddler, Lonnie Saddler (Mary) and sisters in law; Reba Perlotte (Kenny), Arlene Smith, and Brenda Saddler, Jimmie L (Pete) McLendon and beloved nieces and nephews and a host of Aunts and Uncles.

He is preceded in death by his parents, Grandmother Addie Allen, Grandfather Bennie Allen Sr.,  Grandmother Bessie Wilkins, and his sister; Shirley Allen, father and mother in law Lonnie and Margie Saddler, brother and sister in laws Donnie and Vennie Saddler, brother in laws; Charles Saddler and Otis Saddler

Funeral Service will be held on Thursday August 31, 2023 at 11:00am at the Chapel of Coile and Hall Funeral Directors. He will lie in state on Wednesday for viewing 9-5. He will be laid to rest at Rucker's Grove Baptist Church Cemetery following the service.
