ALAN CHANDLER

Lavonia, GA – Alan Joseph Chandler, 30, passed away on Thursday, April 9, 2026.

Born on March 1, 1996, in Alpharetta, Georgia, Alan was the son of the late Kimberly Chandler. Alan was a proud Veteran of the United States Marines, serving his country in Iraq with honor and courage. He had a deep love for nature and found great joy in tending to his plants and flowers that were gifted to him by his Aunt Jinker. Strong-willed and steadfast, Alan stood firmly for what he believed in, a quality that defined both his character and the way he lived his life.

Alan is survived by his special aunt whom he was raised by for many years, Virginia Brown; aunts, Betty Wooten, Gail Hester (Dale); uncles, Doug Pointer (Tammy), Billy Pointer (Dianne); special cousins, Misty Sullivan (Kevin), Ainsley Pointer (Holly), Rusty Pointer, Michael Jones, Heather Kelley, Trent Roling, Baylee Stone (Gage), Hannah Pointer (Caleb), Connor Pointer; and many more family members.

In addition to his mother, Kimberly Chandler, Alan is preceded in death by his grandparents, Mary Satterfield (Don), Billy Chandler; aunts, Ann Pointer, Vicky Pointer, Judy Pointer; and uncles, Bill Brown, Bucky Wooten.

A Memorial Service will be held at 2:00 pm, Friday, April 24, 2026, at Sandifer Funeral Home Chapel. The family will receive friends from 1:00 pm to 2:00 pm, prior to the service at Sandifer Funeral Home. A Private Family Burial will take place at a later date at MJ Dolly Cooper Veterans Cemetery.
