When I first met Miss Lela as my stepmother she greeted me with open arms all through my life I know her by her nickname uchi one day she says to me you can call me Lela. Because you already have a mother . She always treated me like I was her birth daughter and that's a wonderful thing. I was glad to I enjoyed spending my time talking to her on the phone and laughing when I came to visit she always greeted me with love. one day as an adult I called her out of the blue and said to her you know I love you right, she said yes I know you love me . Hearing someone tell you they love you is a wonderful thing I will never forget the talks we have my phone and my visits. when I came to Hartwell to visit the family she always opened her arms and gave her such a big hug and a kiss and said welcome home. She will truly be missed from my family's life and my heart. The only regret have is she never got a chance to see my granddaughter she always loves children and she would have loved my little pumpkin. With love from her daughter Rose Mary
